Resolving Email Issues in RezExpert
Last modified on:
Overview
Users of RezExpert may encounter issues sending emails due to changes in email policies by major providers such as Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, and Hotmail. These changes affect the deliverability of emails originating from RezExpert when using these providers as proxy email addresses.
Prerequisites
- A custom domain (e.g., mybusiness.com) is required to set up a custom email address (e.g., info@mybusiness.com).
- Assistance from your IT team or website hosting provider may be necessary.
Steps
RezExpert Email Update
- As of June 1, 2016, RezExpert users cannot use gmail.com, yahoo.com, aol.com, hotmail.com email addresses for business setup as proxy email addresses.
- Users must switch to a custom domain email address to avoid deliverability issues.
What Should You Do Now?
- Switching to another major email provider will not resolve the issue due to uniform policy enforcement.
- Recommended Actions:
- Purchase a custom domain.
- Set up a custom email address using that domain.
- Consider using a business account for your custom domain.

- Google Apps for Business:
