Request Based Online Booking Configuration

Overview

You can configure your Online Booking page to be request-based, meaning no deposit payment is taken at the time of booking.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the Business Setup and CC Processors settings.

Steps

Business Setup

  1. Navigate to Setup 1. Business Info.
  2. Click on the Online Settings tab.
  3. Enable the flag for Request Based Reservations.

CC Processors

  1. Switch to the CC Processors tab.
  2. Select the CC Processing Method as No Credit Card Processing Method.
    - Note: Ensure this method is selected to maintain request-based online bookings.

Online Bookings

  • All other activated Online Settings will still apply. For instance, if Enable Online Group Bookings is enabled, guests can still request group bookings online.
  • The Credit Card Information panel will not be displayed online. Only Personal Information and Confirm Reservation sections will appear.
  • Guests will be informed that the "Reservation request has been submitted. Confirmation number is pending."

Availability Grid

  • Request Based Online Reservations will appear within the Rez Pending button on the Availability Grid, and also under the Pending and General tabs of the Arrivals/Departures Panel.
  • Operators can send email confirmations to guests and request payment if necessary.
  • To decline a reservation, cancel the reservation.
