Block Inventory for Online Reservations and Grid Booking

Overview

This document provides instructions on how to block inventory for online reservations while still allowing bookings on the grid.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the inventory management system.
  • Permissions to modify inventory settings.

Steps

  1. Create Managed Inventory for Online Bookings
    - Click on the Menu button.
    - Select Inventory Allocation.
    - Choose either All Units or the specific unit type that will allow online booking.
  2. Set Inventory
    - Click the Fill button.
    - Use the date selector to set a date range.
    - Assign the number of units to be blocked from online bookings.
    - The Inventory Allocation will display available inventory and what is blocked.

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure you have the necessary permissions to modify inventory settings.
  • Verify that the correct unit type is selected for online bookings.
  • Check the date range and unit numbers to confirm they are set correctly.
