Transferring Money to Accounts Receivable

This document provides instructions on how to transfer money to Accounts Receivable.

Prerequisites

  • Ensure you have access to the Account Manager or the client's Client File.

Steps

  1. Create an Account Receivable Account:
    - Use the Account Manager to create an Account Receivable account for the client.
    - Alternatively, enable the "Activate Account Receivables" flag within the client's Client File.
  2. Enable AR Transfer Payment Type:
    - Once the Account Receivable account is created, a new payment type, "AR Transfer," will become available for that client.
  3. Transfer Funds:
    - From the Guest Folio, select "AR Transfer" as the payment type.
    - The balance/credit on the reservation will be transferred to the client’s Account Receivable.

Troubleshooting

  • If the "AR Transfer" payment type is not available, verify that the Account Receivable account has been correctly created or that the "Activate Account Receivables" flag is enabled.
