Processing POS Transactions Without Reservations

Overview
Point of Sale (POS) transactions can be processed to account for transactions that are not associated with reservations, such as a bottle of water or laundry takings.
Prerequisites
- Access to the Availability Grid.
- Knowledge of the client's details if applicable.
Steps
- Access POS:
- Click on the POS button on the Availability Grid. - Add Client’s Name to the Sale:
- If a client is searched and selected, their details will appear within the Client Details on the left and will appear on the Tax Receipt.
- If no client is searched and selected, the sale will be recorded under the name System. - Search for Client:
- Click Search to search and select a client record. - Select Product:
- Select the Product Group of the product within the Product Group dropdown.
- Select the Product Label from the Product Label dropdown. If the product is a POS Hot button, select the product button. - Enter Quantity:
- Enter the Quantity of the products being sold. Note: This can be a negative value or a decimal value, e.g., 2.5. - Price per Unit:
- If a product rate has been entered into Product Rate Setup, the price will automatically display. This can be adjusted for this individual sale if needed.
- If no rate has been entered, enter the Price per Unit. - Calculate Tax:
- Click anywhere on the screen to allow the system to calculate the Tax for the sale. - Post Charges:
- Click Post to post the charge. Repeat for all products that are to be charged. - Select Payment Type:
- Select the Payment Type method. - Enter Reference Number:
- Enter a Reference # if required.
- Finalize Sale:
- Click Post to post the payment and Submit to finalize the sale.
Troubleshooting
- Ensure the correct client is selected to avoid recording sales under the wrong name.
- Verify product details and quantities before posting charges to prevent errors.
- If the system does not calculate tax automatically, ensure all required fields are correctly filled.
